My Batam Record~

Wanted a short getaway to a place with a beach with a friend so to relax after a whole year of stressed due to studies and curriculum activities. Hence, me and my friend started to Google for places to go and happened to see this package from deals.com. Its a website whereby you can find special deals for electronic products, skin and wellness package, vacation packages and etc.

At that period of time, there is an ongoing deal for batam at $58 excluding the ferry taxes which is $27. Hence the whole package cost $85 for a 2 day 1 night trip at batam. We will be travelling there by pacific ferry and our lodging would be at KTM resort. We brought the deal and plan to travel during the last week of May.

They assigned a driver to pick us up from the ferry terminal=) good service but the ride to our hotel was really bumpy. As seen above this was our view from our room. Nice scenery but room was pretty small as you can see us sitting on our bed to camwhore as we don't have much space to move about. And we were quite disappointed as we was really excited about the natural beach that the resort has but the beach was only that small. You can see from the photo. The Resort was very quite there were only us and another group of tourist as it was during the off peak period hence much of the facilities in the resort wasn't in service. Or maybe they are just that we wasn't entertained by the staff. You can use their jacuzzi/sea water pool there if you want to have a swim.

Or be like us, we hired a driver there called Mr Ng @+62 (778) 323 700 **call him personally to get better rates. We told him our desire for food and massage and he brought us to a place which is really cheap and good and the people there were really friendly. We was charged around $17-18/pax ad the driver waited for us before bringing us to eat at A1 food court, its a place like newton circle, they sell seafood at really cheap rates=) you can ask the uncle to help you negotiated for the price.=) And then we went to shop at the mall nearby.=)

The girl beside me was the one whom help me with the massage. Not only is she good, she is pretty too=)

This is the tahu goreng we had there. $1-2, and the chilli is really awesome. People who love spicy food would really like this=)

Since we like the tahu goreng so much. The driver brought us to an area with lots of food stalls by the road side to buy it again and the price is also freaking cheap and the food is awesome!!!

This are the food that we had at those roadside stall. The pancake is really nice and unique! You can mix different flavors inside. We had chocolate and peanut=) and the tahu goreng at the bottom=p

That's the end of our journey with the driver in the night. You can take the resort shuttle bus to a mall. However,they only provide one round trip which is at 12pm and you return from the mall at around 3. BUT BUT you must really spot the driver, if you miss the bus, you would need to travel back by taxi on you own!!! That's all hope it helped you to understand how you can plan a short trip to batam=)
